We’ve had this store on Queen West for over 10 years, while Lilit (founder) has been in the business for over 32 years.

We offer top quality creative tailoring for all your needs, from pant hems to avant garde costumes and custom made tailoring from a picture or an idea. Custom designed evening and wedding dresses, professional alteration and prototyping. Some of the things we do:
  • Custom fit your jackets and pants
  • Remodel your favourite vintage piece into something more trendy and wearable
  • Replace damaged zippers
  • Mend tears in old clothing or re-line old jackets and coats
  • Costume and avant garde alterations
  • Make you a dress from a picture
  • Tailoring for your home
It depends on the item and type of alteration. We usually don’t do rush orders as quality requires time but if the job is minor and we have enough hands to prioritize the job — we try to accommodate with a rush fee added. More complicated repair may take from 2 to 4 weeks. Custom tailored pieces usually require more time — from 6 to 10 weeks.

This change has been implemented to ensure that all our customers receive the best possible experience during their visit with us.
Absolutely. We value vintage and family owned pieces just as much as you. Bring it in and we would love to help you work your sentimental fabric into something wearable and trendy.
We have experience working with various sorts of materials and all types of fabrics. We also work with leather, suede and fur. Some other fabrics include PU, plastic, home fabrics: heavy and light. Give us a call at (647) 873-8811 if you have any inquires about non fabric materials.

Our service fee always depends on the amount of work and time spent on each garment, regardless the price that been paid for it initially. So yes, it is pretty common for a client to spend $250 (or more) to alter a $50 dress.
Although we are always extra cautious, accidents can always happen. If something unfortunate happens, we’d be happy to fully reimburse for the garment.
Since we have everything we need at our studio — we prefer to work in house, however we offer the service outside too with an additional hour rate.
We can’t tell for sure until we physically see the dress and determine the amount of work involved. Every dress is unique — depending on the fabric, the way it fits, the finishing details and more.
