How Long Does It Take to Make A Custom Wedding Gown?

The length of time required to make an exceptional custom wedding dress depends on a variety of details, which includes the style of the gown, type of material (for instance, beading and lace detailing are more time consuming) and alterations necessary. For a custom dress that’s made just for you, it can take three to six months to produce it and deliver to you. If you don’t have much time, you can still get the perfect gown from our experienced tailors as long as we have thirty days before your wedding.

When Is the Best Time to Start Working/Ordering A Custom Wedding Gown?

The process of designing a custom-made gown is long and requires patience. You don’t want rushed work, neither do we. We recommend that you start to order a custom wedding gown at least five months before you’ll need the dress in your hands. This might seem like a long time, but looking fab on your wedding day will make the wait worthwhile.

Trust us, our goal is to create a wedding dress that will suit both your figure and personality to make you feel beautiful and confident on your special day. There is absolutely no need to settle with a dress that isn’t exactly what you want. Let 3rd Floor Tailors help you say “yes” to the perfect dress.

3rd Floor Tailors can take care of all other ladies in your wedding entourage too – be it custom dressmaking or alterations. For more information on custom wedding dress or any of our bespoke tailoring services, please contact us.

Lilit is just wonderful, I went to so many places around the city to find someone who could help alter my wedding dress at a reasonable price. And Lilit fit the bill perfectly. She's warm, kind, very friendly and great at what she does. Where other places wanted to cut parts of my dress, she found way to preserve the pattern and it looks amazing! Can't recommend her enough!
